Bethany Ford
Unit 57 Photography and Photographic
Practice
Working title: Fashion
Purpose: fashion/narrative
Audience: My intended audience will be aimed at 16+ as for this
particular photography style I would like to use Terry Richardson as an inspiration
and he can be seen as controversial, then I would like to add my own touch to
the shoot.
Concept: For my final project I want to do a studio shoot plus an
outdoor one. For my studio shoot I will be using Interfit EX 150 lighting kit
to light the model, I don’t want any large shadows and I want it to be light
and natural, I may also use an external flash to create the natural look. Terry
Richardson’s style has inspired me for my fashion photo-shoot, I like the fact
all images of the different celebrities are the same but there’s something
within the image that says something about the celebrity. I will be using props
to make the shoot fun. For my outdoor shoot it will be in the woods and streets
doing usual day-to-day things but in the clothes to show they can be practical.
When presenting the photos I want the photos to be cut into 3 separate
rectangular strips with the head, torso and legs, and they will spin on fishing
wire in front of a black board. There will be other photos included on the black
boards and others on fishing wire spinning with the back and front of the
model. I want my photos and the way I present them to stand out and catch the viewer’s
eyes.
Location: Hyde Clarendon College (studio) Hyde Park (outdoor)
Quantity: I’m hoping to be using 5 blackboards and to fill the boards
with photos, mostly A5 and some even smaller, the photos on the fishing wire
will be bigger than the others so its easy to see them.
Usage rights: The photos will be used in an exhibition in
Hyde Clarendon and for my own use with University interviews.
Fees: http://calumetrental.co.uk/canon-speedlite-600ex-rt I will be hiring a Canon 600 EX-RT for
£19.20 Inc. VAT, for a day.
