Practice
Working title: Portrait
Purpose: Portrait/emotion/art/graphic
Audience: My intended audience will be aimed at 10+ as my portrait images
do not include violence or nude. I would like my audience to be able to see the
pictures, understand them and give their own story on the images.
Concept: For my final project I hope to travel to different locations
and catch people’s emotions in the moment to really make the images powerful
and meaningful (headshot). As this will be an outside shoot with natural
lighting I will need to make sure aperture, ISO and shutter speed are set
correctly because as I move I could find myself taking a picture in a more
darker area than another. Ben Hasset inspired me the most from the three
portrait photographers I researched, he captures the moment and that’s what any
of my photographs are or what I hope for. This shoot could be difficult, people
may be unwilling to cooperate and be involved in my mages as they could be busy
shopping or getting to work.
Location: Manchester Piccadilly, Ashton, and Hyde
Quantity: I will be using 1 board for this project and filling the whole
board with small pictures of people in black and white them hoping to get
enough pictures to put some in colour to create word that relates to the
images.
Usage rights: The photos will be used in an exhibition in
Hyde Clarendon and for my own use with University interviews.
